The heart is showing left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) an enlargement of the left ventricle (lower chamber). The left ventricle pumps oxygenated blood from the heart to the rest of the body. Coronary heart disease and other cardiac conditions can make the heart need to pump harder. As the heart is a muscle, it grows if it has an increased workload, leading to LVH.
