Thousands of LGBT people from London and around the UK marched through the streets of London in a colourful display of pride and confidence in their sexuality, cheered on by large numbers of spectators lining the route of the parade as it proceeded towards its destination in Trafalgar Square. Despite rain showers, nothing could detract from the festive atmosphere.
