Seu d'Egara. Monumental churches Terrassa. Sant Pere, Sant Miquel and Santa Maria churches. Pre-romanesque.
The three churches Terrassa is one of the most interesting monuments of Catalonia. Scaffolding in a place inhabited since Roman times, as shown by various preserved remains, was the seat of the Bishop of Ègara, composed around the year 450 and lasted until the Saracen invasion, in the eighth century. The current buildings are late, built between the ninth and tenth centuries and expanded during the twelfth century. The Church of St. Peter was the parish namesake town until 1601, when it passed to depend on Terrassa, although it recovered parrish the nineteenth century. The set was studied and restored in the early twentieth century by Josep Puig and in 1931 was declared a National Monument.
