Global warming has lead to rising sea levels and a greater incidence of stormy weather, both of which have increased the rate of erosion of the soft glacial tills that make up the coast of Norfolk. Happisburgh is the fastest eroding point in the british Isles. already a number of houses have been washed into the sea, and the lifeboat launching ramp has been destroyed.
