They can be separated from the next species,, which also is found with them, only by a close examination to see the white tall coverts. Notes.—Musical whistles In no way different from those of the Sandpiper. Nest—On the ground, in grass back of beaches; eggs gray, profusely blotched with blackish brown. Range.—Eastern N.
