Young rice plants after being germinated together in abundance need to be separated and planted individually after they have reached a certain height. The two Indonesian women planting rice are doing what is known as wet-rice cultivation the prevalent method of farming in the Far East. This is a freshly cultivated paddy field in West Sumatra, Indonesia.
