Orrorin tugenensis female, model used for a documentary on human evolution. O. tugenensis is an early hominid, dating from about 6 million years ago. The fossils, discovered in Africa in 2000, indicate that it was bipedal, it walked on two legs. The blue dots on the model are points of reference for the computer modelling. The model was used for the French film-documentary A Species Odyssey (2003), directed by Jacques Malaterre. The film covered millions of years of human evolution and many different species of hominids.
