We glide on past the shores of Great Chebeague, steer between Hope and Little Bangs, out into Broad Sound, leaving Crotch, Jewells,^ and their satellites astern. Far out in the offing we can now make out the tall, gray lighthouse on Half-Way Rock again.^ It is but a short run now across the sound into Potts Harbor, at the extreme seaward point of Harpswell the world has read Mrs. Stowes Pearl of Orrs Island, and Orrs Island lies out in full view before us.
