He took a great interest in the movement to publish ahistory of the Brigham family and his untimely death was a greatloss to the Association, with which he had closely allied traveled abroad and at the first meeting of the Association inMarlboro, in 1894, he presented to each person at the banquet, abeautifully prepared copy of a picture of the old church in Brig-ham, Cumberland Co., Eng., with a delightful note of explanation.
