Elphin Sutherland

The hamlet of Elphin, located in Sutherland in the far north-west of Scotland, is surrounded by the sandstone mountain peaks of Canisp, Suilven and Cul Mor, with the Munros of Conival and Ben More Assynt beyond. A walker’s paradise, climbers of all ages and abilities are spoilt for choice here. Assynt’s dramatic mountains are popular with mountaineers and climbers, whilst the long coastline and sandy beaches offer a host of less strenuous walks. The Assynt ares is also a great place to view Scottish wildlife in its natural habitat, including seals, puffins, deer, eagles and whales.
