Ptolemaic Egyptian ram mummy "The Osiris Ram of Khnum , 4th cent BC,Ptolemaic, found Elephantine Asuan, Louvre Museum inv E3089. The Ram mummy found in a necropolis dedicated to ram headed god Khnum on Elephantine Island, near the Khnum cult centre temple. Khnum or romanised Khnemu was one of the earliest-known Egyptian deities, originally the god of the source of the Nile. Khnum is depicted in ancient Egyptian Art as a ram-headed god with green skin. Green colored skin was the color of vegetation and symbolized new life, rebirth and regeneration.
