PHILIPPINE SEA (March 18, 2022) Fire Controlman 2nd Class Chase Simmons (left), from Lagrange, Georgia, and Fire Controlman 3rd Class Austin Matthews (right), from Pearidge, Arkansas, monitor surface contacts from the combat information center of Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer USS Higgins (DDG 76). Higgins is assigned to Commander, Task Force (CTF) 71/Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15, the Navy’s largest forward-deployed DESRON and the 7th Fleet’s principal surface force.
