99 7235 built in 1954 hauls its passengers on the metre gauge Brocken Railway to the summit of the Brocken mountain in Germany


The so called new narrow gauge steam engines, (99 7232-4), that came into service in 1954. Now running on all lines of the Herzer Schmalspurbahnen, Germany. This steam engine is running on the 1000mm narrow gauge Brocken railway. Taking its passengers from Wernigerode to the summit of, Brocken the highest mountain in the Harz region. The peak of the Brocken was a military base which has only been open to the public for a relatively short time. Until reunification the mountain was closed to all bt the Soviet Army.
