A Hussar Dashed In With The News That The Enemy Were Upon Us!, 1895, (1902). The battle, fought at La Coruna in northern Spain, was part of the Peninsular War. Retreating from a much larger French army, the British under General Sir John Moore were able to hold the French off long enough to be evacuated by sea. Moore was mortally wounded in the battle.
