Passionkirche, Early 20th Century Protestant church now Evangelical Church of the Holy Cross Passion, Marheinekeplatz 1, Kreuzberg, Neo-Romanesque style building built 1905-1908 to plans Theodor Astfalck The church was damaged during World War II in 1944 but most of the original furnishings have been preserved. In 1951-1953 the war damage was repaired and the church restored with modest means, from 1957 the renovations progressed and the building has been beautifully restored. In addition to church services, the church is also a venue for concerts, readings, lectures and exhibitions.
