The Jacobus Kapteyn Telescope is a one meter optical telescope at the rim of the Caldera de Taburiente on La Palma in the Canary more than 2300 m it is high above trade wind clouding and works normaly under a very clear sky. Das Jacobus Kapteyn Teleskop auf dem Kraterrand der Caldera de Taburiente auf La Palma arbeitet mit seinem Ein-Meter Spiegel in mehr als 2300 Metern Höhe über den Wolken der Passatwinde unter einem sehr klaren Himmel aurf der Kanareninsel La Palma.
