The first bomb, a 112-1b. cast steel bomb with a nose fuse, caused a 6-inch diameter crater, 2 feet deep, displacing 12 cubic yards of material, and destroying both rails and 4 ties on the track. The second bomb, a 112-1b. cast iron bomb with a tail fuse, caused a 9-foot diameter crater, 5 feet 9 inches deep, displacing 9 cubic yards of material, damaging one rail, and destroying 9 ties on the track.
