Most part of the adults were stirred up:great numbers pricked to the heart, and by a judgment ofcharity, several found peace and joy in believing. Theconsequence of this work was, churches were1 crowded,and subscriptions raised for building new ones. Mr. Whit-fields example provoked most of the ministers to a muchorreater degree of earnestness. And l>v the multitudes ofpeople, old and voting, rich and poor, (locking to thechurches, religion became an honorable profession.
