Fallas festival in Burriana, Valenciana, Spain

The Fallas Festival is a traditional celebration in commemoration of Saint Joseph held in several towns in the Valencia Region. The Fallas or Ninots are large constructions, often several stories high, depicting local and famous characters in a cartoon style. The fallas are constructed in combustible materials ready to be burnt on the last night of the festival. The celebrations last for 4 days and always conclude on the 19 March each year.
