Notice board information about No. 4 The Row Shepherds Cottage Home of the Upshall family 1925 - 1929 at Tyneham Village, Dorset, UK in July
Tyneham is Dorset's famous ‘lost’ village, abandoned and deserted. In Nov 1943 all residents were told to leave within 28 days as the area was needed for Army training. On 17 Dec 1943 the last residents left believing one day they would return, but this never happened. The village is still part of the Army Ranges but access is allowed to the public on some days.
