Australian snake-necked turtle (Chelodina longicollis) swimming underwater. This turtle is found in freashwater swamps, lakes and slow-moving waterways throughout south-eastern and southern Australia. The carapace (shell) can be around 30 centimetres across at maturity. It's long neck helps it to hunt its prey of tadpoles, frogs, small fish and crustaceans. Photographed at Sydney Aquarium, Sydney, Australia.
