This firm enjoyed the heaviest Memorial day sales in its history and the combination of holiday demand and funeral work cleaned up its stock early Monday afternoon. The Washington Florists have been featuring a fern ball filled with vari- ous spring flowers, with splendid re- sults. This firm is showing some fine potted petunias and some nice ferns of the Boston and other varieties. The decorations for the Rainier Club banquet to ex-President Taft last week were handled by Kenney's Home of Flowers and attracted notice in the lo- cal press. The diners were seated about a hollow square filled with palms and greens and a large spray centerpiece was placed in the center of each side of the square, made of Ophelia roses and ferns. William Goldsbary, of this firm, is at prespvt in Vancouver, B. C, on a business trip. The Woodlawn Flower Shop has shown a number of spring novelties recently and reports good sales. This house has received some of the best colored Cecile Brunner roses and finest iris in the market. Anemones were also shown in profusion.
