It isremarkable, by the way, that the jileasingliveliness for which the Hottentot youthare notable departs together with j-outh,the demeanor of the men and women lieingsedate and almost gloomy. Around the loins is fastened a muchlarger apron without any decoration. Thisis of variable size and shape, but the usualform is that which is shown in the illustra-tion.
