Caudal a little rounded. Greyish or pale brownish, with 4 or 5 dark cross-bars, the first from spinous dorsal to base of pectoral, the second downwards from origin of soft dorsal, the others less regular and sometimes with narrower bars developed between them; spinous dorsal blackish or dusky; other fins more or less pale. Hab. Palmer Archipelago; South Orkneys; South Georgia. The type of this species was 522 mm. in total length, and was caught in Cumberland Bay at a depth of about 5 to 7 metres. Genus CRYODRACO ?
