An advert from the Illustrated War News with an illustration of the sinking of HMS Formidable on New Years Day 1915 by a submarine (Uboat- U24). Captain Arthur N. Loxley died though some of his crew were picked up by the 'Diamond' and the Brixham trawler 'Provident'. Captain Loxley's dead dog, Bruce, was washed ashore and is buried in a marked grave in Abbotsbury Gardens, Dorset
