Skateboards, bicycles, scooters, and inline skates are all allowed aboard Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow, Calif., but the user must be wearing the proper personal protective equipment. Marine Corps police officials said at a minimum a helmet is required when riding a bicycle. Various pads may also be required when operating a skateboard, scooter or inline skates. It pays to know what you need to keep safe. The base order that covers operating these nonmotorized devices (BO ) is designed to keep everyone safe, not to punish them.
