Elbow fracture. X-ray of the elbow of a 75-year-old woman with an elbow effusion (fluid on the joint) and a supracondylar humerus fracture with displacement. A supracondylar humerus fracture is a fracture of the end of the humerus (upper arm bone) near the elbow. The bone has displaced here, seen clearly at lower centre on the X-ray. Treatment is to reset the bone and pin it in place to heal.
