Smith, Commander, Military Sealift Command Atlantic, observes Civil Service Mariners assigned to the fleet replenishment oiler USNS Joshua Humphreys (T-AO 188) conduct an underway replenishment-at-sea with the guided-missile destroyer USS Truxtun (DDG 103) in the Atlantic Ocean, July 14. Underway replenishments-at-sea enable the Navy's combatant ships to re-supply without having to pull into port, thus allowing them to stay on mission for an extended time.
