The screws are wrapped separately from the butts, andboth are packed in strong anti-tarnish paper to protect thehnish of the butts. Oval head screws are packed for thesurface leaf, flat head for the jamb leaf. The advantage of oval head screws over round head is apparent; theextra purchase obtained in the countersink holds the butt rigid.
