Thomas Hooker, first minister ofHartford, Connecticut, in 1633, and settled first at Newtown,Massachusetts, and afterward at Hartford, Connecticut. Before1652 he removed to Saybrook, and in 1660 was one of the originalproprietors of Norwich, Connecticut.
