If she presents reliable letters attestingher various good qualities, they may in-cline the heart of her superior favorablyto her, or they may fix a standard in hisesteem which it will be exceedingly diffi-cult for her to attain, and, if attained,still more difficult to hold. She may countupon at least three years of apprenticeship,in which she must labor just as zealouslyand just as industriously as she would for. E. H.
