Strong, upright grower; young branches very corky ; leaves rough on both sides. American or White {U. Americana). A native tree of large size, with spreading head and graceful, drooping branches. Of all trees, no other, perhaps, unites in the same degree majesty and beauty, grace and grandeur, as this one does.
