Sufficient teams to handle the OFFICE AND FRONT OF ASPHALT PLANT. This year the Bureau of Streets purchased from War-ren Brothers a one-car railroad plant. This plant canbe moved around on the outskirts of the city where itis proposed to re-surface macadam roads with a bitumi-nous top. It is practically impossible to do this workfrom the stationary plant, since the long haul would runthe cost up to a very high figure. This railroad planthas a capacity of two thousand square yards of two-inchtop per day of eight hours. It is expected that the forcerequired to operate this plant will consist of: 1 foreman; 2 drum men;2 kettle men;1 mixer man; 1 engineer;IS laborers; 2 watchmen. The bureau is considering the use of two five-ton autotrucks to handle the material from this plant to the material to be used will be received on a track be-side the plant and can be used as required.
