Iodine I2 is only sparingly soluble in water (see also AB2YMY and AB2YGT)


2 shot series: First shot (AB2YDJ and AB30GJ) shows that Iodine (I2) is only sparingly soluble in water. Second shot (AB2YMY and AB2YGT) shows that with the addition of iodide ions, in this case a small amount of Potassium Iodide (KI), the iodine is converted to triiodide ion which readily dissovles in water.
