Hypholoma acutum. A mushroom that can be found thought out the year on fallen logs or stumps of deciduous trees. Once mistaken for Hypholoma fasciculare, but recent DNA sequencing show that this does not occur in New Zealand, where this specimen was photographed. Poisonous. Credit: BSpragg
