Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, London, UK. 14th February, 2016. Protesters hold a “Blackout” demonstration at the 69th British Academy Film Awards, more commonly known as the BAFTAs, outside the Royal Opera House in London. A group called Creatives of Colour led by Leon Herbert who appeared in the films Batman and Alien 3, protested outside the flagship ceremony against the lack of diversity in front of the camera. Beasts Of No Nation star Idris Elba, who is nominated for best supporting actor, and Star Wars actor John Boyega, are the only black actors to appear in this year's Bafta shortlist.
