Sanctuary Madonna della Ghianda (Madonna of the Acorn), facade with eight niches containing the statues of saints . The origins are linked to a miraculous event that occurred in the thirteenth century. According to tradition, a deaf-mute shepherdess was in the area where the sanctuary now stands, when the image of the Virgin appeared in the branches of an oak tree. Later the girl regained the ability to hear and speak. The faithful built a small temple, then enlarged, dedicated to the Madonna, therefore called "della Ghianda". The interior of the sanctuary has a single nave with six side chapels. In the semicircular apse the primitive chapel was incorporated
