He Bingyi, director of the Shanghai Prefectural Committee of the Communist Youth League, member of the Communist Party of China, and student of Shanghai University, shouted after being shot: "Down with imperialism!" "Long live the liberation of the Chinese nation!" This occurred during the May Thirtieth Movement. The May Thirtieth Movement was a major labour and patriotic movement against imperialist powers led by the Chinese Communist Party.
