These plants have been gathered from all parts of the globe and propagated at the Chico station. They are now being sent out for trial to other parts of the country. No charge is made for these plants but the Chico stalion sends them out only on orders from the Department of Agriculture at Washington, D. C. Many young fruit trees are being set out in Dorado County, principally Bartlett pears, prunes, plums, apples and peaches.
