Victims of an avalanche in andean mining community of Chungar in central highlands Peru 1970
In this small community of a mining village situated in the Central Andes mountains of Peru the body of a victim caught in an horrendous landslide which swamped part of the village waits under a blanket for the Coroners visit. The Andes is a young range of mountains prone to dramatic mood changes through rainfall earthquakes and landslides and living among them as these Andean people do is a constant testimony to their faith.
