Kennedy the accompanyingillustration of the Grain Exhibit which was part of the School GardenExhibition held at Midale, Sask., on September 18th and A Course in Elementary Shorthand (Isaac Pitman) covering all theprinciples of the system, as taught in the standard text-books, will begiven this winter in the College of the City of New York. Thomas Nelson & Sons, Educational Publishers, of London and NewYork, have opened a branch in the Tyrrell Building, King Street East,Toronto. Mr. S. B. Watson is manager. Mr. R. A. A. McConnell, formerly of the Peterborough Public Schoolstaff, has been appointed to the staff of the Lindsay Collegiate Institute. Mr. T. H.
