The vasa effe-rentia are very delicate vessels which run out from the headof the testicle, single at first, but they are soon convoluted, and by these convolutions they are formed into an equalnumber of vascular cones^ which constitute the head or largerpart of the epididymis. These vasa eiferentia and vascularcones are connected by a very delicate cellular membrane;and it is a piece of very nice dissection to display them afterthey are injected with mercury. Epididymis.—The vasa efferentia, after forming three coni-cal convolutions, unite and form larger tubes ; these againuniting, and form one large excretory duct, the vas deferens ;but this vessel, being convoluted to a wonderful degree, formsa body, which being as it were placed upon the testicle, hasbeen called epididymis. Seventh Plan of the In this representation of the clissected testicle, A is the bodyof the testicle divested of its coats ; B, the tubuli testis jf CC,the rete testis ; D, the vasa efferentia ; E, the vascular cones ;F- the epididymis, formed of the convolutions of the vasdeferens; lastly, G is the vas deferens. * This body is called a vncre Jirmamentum or binding.—Winslow.^ Where the tubuli are emerging-to form the rete vasculosum they are calledUie Ifim recta. OF THE TESTES. 30o In the substance of the testicle there are no glands norfolli-CLiles; the arteries minutely ramify amongst the seminal tubes, and, there is reason to believe, secrete the semen into seminal vessels in the substance of the testicle, or tubulitestes, run together upon the surface of the testicle, and formthe rete testis. From the rete testis are continued the vascu-lar cones ; these conv
