It isthe old Clark homestead, built 1708, where was born James Clark, thesubject of this sketch ; a sturdy patriot in those days which tried menssouls ; a soldier whose name deserves more than passing mention.*But before making further reference to his military career, let us considerhis antecedents. 1.
