Afterthe term was over he continued the practice of lawin Uniontown, and at the October election of 1869was elected by the Democratic party a member ofthe General Assembly of Pennsylvania for FayetteCounty, and served in the session of 1870, and waselected in that year to the General Assembly of 1871,and served therein; and thereafter, while conductingthe practice of law, engaged (in October, 1871) as acontractor in the construction of the Greensburg andConnellsville Division of the Southwest Pennsylvania. ^^z//J^:/^^^_ .^^^^
