Afroleptomydas sodalicus A Koup Karoo species belonging to the humeralis section, of which the <$ is almost entirely black and the $ with yellowish brownish dorsum of the abdomen as in $ of braunsi. It is characterized as follows: Body mainly black, entirely so in $; clypeus in q* entirely black, yellowish on sides in $, dark above; humeral tubercles, sides of thorax, pteropleural and metapleural parts entirely dark or black in both sexes, only posterior episternal part yellowish; two broadish transverse streaks on extreme sides of tergite 1, and in $ sometimes also extreme sides of 2, yellowish to an obscure extent; dor-.
