Spirit Bear Lodge, Klemtu, Swindle Island, British Columbia


The spirit bear, also called the Kermode Bear, is a white version of the native black bear, which is revered by the native people of the west coast of British Columbia. The local people of Klemtu village guide tours to take people to see this rare bear. They recently built this lodge to facilitate tourism in the area of Swindle Island and the Great Bear Rainforest.
