John Andrew Peacock (born 1956), British cosmologist. Peacock has been Professor of Cosmology at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, since 1998, and was Head of the university's Institute of Astronomy from 2007 to 2013. At left is the distribution of galaxies from the Two-degree Field (2dF) Galaxy Redshift Survey. Peacock was UK Chairman of this UK-Australia collaboration.
