Sakaiura Beach has a unique feature - a partially submerged wreck of the Hinko-maru, a Japanese warship that was torpedoed just off the beach during WWII. Snorkelers can explore the shipwreck which is rusting away nicely and attracting sea life. The nearby white sand beach is good for swimming besides teh snorkeling activities
