Gibraltar in 2007 - Entrance Door sign to the Convent Guardroom - Built circa the early 1700s at the time of the convent becoming the Governor’s residence. Two military brass guns stand outside the changing of the guard takes place regularly outside the Convent and special ceremonial events are held at regular intervals throughout the year. The Guard House appears (almost exactly as it stands today) in the Charles Warren map of 1865 .It is now the reception for No 6 Convent Place, the Office of the Chief Minister.
