But why should a year be regarded solelyin the light of military happenings? Fortu-nately, there is another aspect in which wecan view 1917—an aspect that cheers andencourages. To the readers of the ChristianHerald it has been a wonderful year of benev-olent activities. Our Relief work has in-cluded all the great centers of suffering thatcould be reached, by whatever means.
